If you are having difficulty with a course or teacher:
Students need to take the initiative to communicate with their teachers. If you do not understand the material, or are unsure about a missing assignment in ProgressBook, you need to ask your teacher during class, attend tutoring, or e-mail them. If you believe there has been a misunderstanding with your teacher, you need to let them know in a respectful manner.
If you feel your communication that you are having with the teacher is not producing the results you wish to see, your parents will need to e-mail or phone the teacher for next steps. Parents may also e-mail or phone the teacher for an update on student progress or to inquire about student performance. Teacher contact information can be found here.
After parents and students have attempted communication with the teacher, attended tutoring, and submitted all assignments, and the student's performance has still not improved, the parent can request a conference with the teacher through your student's assigned school counselor.
